Corps schedules Tower Tour

The Corps of Engineers at Tuttle Creek Lake will conduct a tour of the control tower on Saturday, August 16 at 10:00 a.m. The control tower is the cement structure in the lake that controls how much water goes though the dam. The tour is limited to thirty people and pre-registration is required. To register, call the Corps of Engineers office at 785-539-8511 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday. Participants must be U.S. citizens. Nothing is allowed in the tower to include backpacks and purses and cameras are strictly forbidden.

There is no cost associated with the tour and those who have a fear of heights should not take the tour.

Participants should meet at the parking lot at the west end of Tuttle Creek Dam.
