Two in Custody for Burglaries
The Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office has taken two individuals into custody for their alleged involvement in burglaries reported on Diamond Rd, rural St. Marys , and in the city of St. Marys. On June 25th, Detectives with the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office and the St. Marys Police Department served a search warrant at 1220 Pawnee Drive, St.Mary's. As a result of this warrant stolen property was recovered to include power tools, household goods, guns, electronics, and other misc. items that had been previously reported as stolen from the earlier burglaries. Detectives working the case learned during this investigation that the suspects were also said to have been involved in an aggravated robbery to one of the residence at an earlier date. Arrested for these incidents were Luke William Linxwiler, 35 year old male of 1220 Pawnee Drive, St. Marys for Aggravated Robbery, Burglary, Theft, Criminal Damage to Property, and Criminal use of a Weapon, Linxwiler is currently being held at the Pottawatomie County Jail, bond being 100,000. Also arrested was Stephanie Marie Cole, a 37 year old female from 1220 Pawnee Drive for Aggravated Robbery, Burglary, Theft, Criminal Damage to Property and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She is also being held at the Pottawatomie Count Jail, bond set at 100,000 dollars. This investigation is continuing.

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office is investigating two residential burglaries, The first burglary occurred between the 31st of May and the 3rd of June 2013 in St. Marys on Seminole Drive. In this burglary the suspect-s entered the residence by prying a rear patio door. Once inside, the suspect stole items to include a Benelli shotgun, 2 Weatherby shotguns, 2 Weatherby rifles, a Ruger .22 pistol, LG Flat screen television other electronics, tools, fishing equipment, golfing items and food. The amount of loss in this burglary is estimated at approximately 20,000 dollars.
The second burglary occurred on the 7th of June 2013 at a rural residence in the area of Diamond Rd., and Highway 63, rural St. Marys. The suspect-s in this burglary made entrance to the home through a rear door during the daytime hours. Once inside the suspect-s stole a Whites metal detector, a Ruger 10-22 rifle, a Remington 243 Rifle, and a Dell Laptop computer. While inside the residence the suspects fired a gun multiple times causing damage to other items inside the house, as well as the house. The gun fired inside the residence was not one that was from the residence, it is believed that the suspect-s had that gun with them. Loss from theft and damage from this call are estimated at approximately 9,000 dollars.
