20 Kids Join MCV Jr. High Wrestling Team

The Mill Creek Valley Jr. High Wrestling Team is off to a great start with 17 young men and 3 young women out to represent our community. Last week they had a Dual meet at St. Mary’s on Thursday evening. The Dual included three other teams: Riley County, Rossville, and St. Mary’s. As a team they had a total of 24 pins and 42 wins.

Saturday the Jr. Chargers participated in the tournament at Rock Creek on Saturday along with Silver Lake, Marysville, Doniphan West and Rock Creek. As a team they had 28 pins and 39 wins. Leaving the Tournament with 17 out of 20 kids medaling.

Within the first week the team had a grand total of 52 pins and 81 wins. Great job to all those that wrestled. Keep up the great work!
