Brad Lynn Gant, 58, of Council Grove, Kansas, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012, at Stormont Vail Hospital.

He was born Aug. 13, 1953 in Herington, Kan., the son of Milton and Betty (Roether) Gant.  He graduated from Wamego High School in 1971.  He married Jeri Lee Allen on July 23, 1977 in Council Grove.  Brad worked for Union Pacific Railroad, where he has been employed for 36 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Brad is survived by his wife Jerri Lee, of the home; 3 sons, Caleb Gant and Jennifer Fornce, of Council Grove, Curtis Gant, of Woodland Park, Colo. and Colby Gant, of Council Grove,; granddaughter, Marlee Gant, of Council Grove; brother Lonnie Gant & wife Lisa, of Green Valley, AZ; three sisters, Vicki Hewitt and husband Roger, of Council Grove, Janet Phillips and husband Russ, of Goddard, Kan,  and Tammi  Smith of Tucson, Ariz.

A memorial service was Friday, May 18th, at the Council Grove Christian Church.         

A private family inurnment will follow at a later date.
